Established in 1981, AMAG is a not-for-profit Incorporated Association, governed by a Board of Directors and currently managed, on a day-to-day basis, by Kevin Brennan, Executive Officer.

AMAG's mission is to strengthen, support and stimulate the Victorian arts & cultural sector by providing:

• professional development opportunities
• an arts law referral service
• an arts management advisory service
• an active network of arts managers, practitioners, educators and students
